The California Workforce Association’s Executive Committee facilitates the management of the day-to-day business of the Association. Seven members are elected annually. In addition to the elected members, three vice-chairs of the standing committees are chosen along with five at-large members. These members are selected to ensure geographical and urban/rural representation on the Committee. The Executive Committee also includes a representative of the One-Stop Career Center community and a seated member of a workforce investment board.

The Workforce Investment Act provides the foundation through its system of Workforce Investment Boards and One-Stop Career Centers to address the workforce needs of all companies, both large and small. After twelve years of implementing the 1998 law in regions throughout California, much has been learned about what works and also about what can be done statutorily to better focus the system envisioned by Congress. The following report details CWA's WIA reauthorization recommendations.
CWA produces an annual Legislative Report that details CWA sponsored legislation and all bills that impact the workforce development system. This report is a complete look at all the bills we tracked this legislative session.
